Colts Start Title Defense Against Saints

The 2008 NFL season opens tonight with the defending champion Colts starting off against the formidable New orleans Saints. Most analysts think that the Colts' defense will have trouble this year, having lost key players like Cato June and Nick Harper in the off-season. Still it's too early to count out a team whose offense includes Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, and Joseph Addai.

The Saints had the NFL's #2 defense last year so they could minimize the Colts' offensive damage today. Look for Saints QB Drew Brees to try to poke holes in the Colts' D by throwing a lot to Reggie Bush and Marques Colston.

Colts Win Super Bowl XLI

Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts defeated the Chicago Bears 29-17 in a hard-fought Super Bowl XLI.

Chicago took an early lead on a game-opening kickoff return for a touchdown by Devin Hester. Manning and the Colts fought back to a 16-14 halftime lead, and then steadily pulled away in the second half.
